Former Chairman and Supervisor Barb Church- Observations as to Who in the Town supports these candidates

·        There is approximately 120 core signers overall across both sets of papers, with approximately 100 overall Family names or groups.

·        With each of them obtaining approximately 100 signatures each, overall they received 35% of their signatures from Yacht Club members and 57% from lakefront owners.

o   Joe Klarkowski – 21% from Yacht Club Members and 41% from Beulah lakefront owners.

o   Barb Church – 28.7% from Yacht Club Members and 39.6% from Beulah lakefront owners.

o   Joe Jones – 0.0% from Yacht Club Members and 43.2% from Potters lakefront owners.

·        To be fair, Jones is a lakefront owner on Potters Lake so you would expect him to seek out his neighbors. However, klarkowski and Church are not lakefront owners, so you wouldn’t expect to see this much influence on their campaign.

·        Let’s look at the Lake Beulah Management District (LBMD) and Protect Lake Beulah (PLB) boards did not sign nomination papers, so these numbers will go up significantly for Joe and Barb if included.

o   Also consider that PLB is actively promoting Klarkowski with “in kind contributions” by hosting his website on the PLB website. Not sure what their 501 status as it is hard to determine.

I guess our questions are:

1.      Farmers and the remaining citizens of the Town of East Troy, do you feel represented with both Klarkowski and Church on the board?

2.      The only groups in front of the board regularly to petition for some action against homeowners or some other cause are typically related to Lake Beulah and these organizations.

3.      Does the town government exist primarily for the benefit of the lakes in our town?
