EARLY Resignation of Former Town Chairman
Taken ,in part, from Informed citizens of East Troy - with permission:
Effective today Feb 4, 2025 Town Chairman Klarkowski has announced his immediate resignation, see attached letter.
On his way out the door it appears he attributes several parties as contributing factors to his early resignation including Walworth County, the Town Board, and 20 or so not so honorable members of the Community...draw your own conclusions.
In recent weeks and months there have been a series of additional controversial statements by the Chairman that may have lead up to this decision to resign, please scroll through our timeline as we've tried to keep you "Informed" along the way.
I believe that several significant improvements have been achieved for the Town since the founding of this Community Forum in 2019 (Thank you Zess') that gave our citizens a voice including:
Saving $4 million+/- on Town Hall project
Adding 2 additional Town Supervisor positions
Electing several new Supervisors
Opening all Town Roads to ATV/UTV use
Creating a volunteer Communication Committee
Adding total Transparency/Accountability to Town Govt
Defeating a Junk/storage ordinance proposal
Expedited upgrade of Police Chief
Building a new Police facility
The departing Chairman, along with the 2,000+ members of this Forum deserves much credit for activating the Community to demand and achieving each of these important improvements.
A new Chapter soon begins and wishing Joe Jones for Town of East Troy all the best as your new Town Chairman after the April 1st elections.
