Where candidates stand.

Many folks in our township have containers for storage on their property. A new ordinance has been proposed to eliminate shipping containers from your personal property. Supervisor Wucherer has already stated that he would vote YES to this new ordinance and has boldly shared his stance on the subject, that long gone are the days when you can do what you want on your property. So where do candidates Jahner and Leondard stand on this issue?

Here’s a question posed at the recent Meet & Greet on 3/14/24.

Q. The Board is currently discussing the possibility of restrictions on outside containers on private properties, how would you vote on this and why?

A. The candidates both would vote NO! There are a ton of agricultural residences, strong belief that the root of this potential new ordinance was sparked from a civil dispute between two neighbors which should not impact the entire Town, it’s purely government overreach, and we are not an HOA.
